Tool version: O!kurra Capital Defense EA 2.05
The module is available from version 2.03 on. If you work on 2.00, you will not see these fields in the F7 window. Everything below describes the behavior of release 2.05, checked in the code and in tests; changes against 2.04 are marked “from 2.05”.
How to read the field names. In the tables we give the exact text you see in the Inputs (F7) window — for example
Target distance from the activated level (points). The key name from the.setfile appears only where it is genuinely needed: when you edit sets.
Where to put it
The file must sit in MQL5\Files\OKU\tsetups\ inside your terminal’s data folder (File → Open Data Folder). You enter the name — the bare name, no path — in the FILE source: file name in Files\OKU\tsetups\ (BUY:/SELL: sections) field.
You cannot point at an arbitrary place on the disk. MetaTrader closes off file access outside the
MQL5\Filesfolder to advisors — that is a platform safeguard, not a limitation of ours. If you give the bare name and the file is not inOKU\tsetups\, the advisor will also checkMQL5\Files\(where the tester unpacks files attached to a run) and only then refuse to start — with a message naming both paths it checked.
How to save it
A plain text file. Notepad is enough; the encoding may be UTF-8, UTF-8 with a BOM, or UTF-16 — the advisor recognizes them itself, and reads older single-byte files with the system code page.
What to write in it
# My minutes for XAUUSD - anything after # is ignored
# Broker time, days: 1 = Monday ... 5 = Friday, 6 = Saturday, 7 = Sunday
BUY:
08:00
09:30/12345 # weekdays only
14:18, 14:32 # a comma works just like a new line
SELL:
16:00/15
22:45
The rules, all of them:
| rule | detail |
|---|---|
| sections | BUY: and SELL: — the header on its own line, with a colon. Letter case does not matter |
| entries | one per line or several separated by commas — the same reader |
| comments | everything from # to the end of the line is ignored |
| empty lines | ignored |
| order | an entry before any section header is an error — the advisor names the file and the line number |
When something is wrong
The reader is strict: every problem stops the start and names the file and the line number. That is deliberate — a hundred-line research list cannot be debugged any other way.
Mind the typo without a colon. The entry
1143instead of11:43is not a valid minute, so the advisor rejects it and says which line it was on. That is better than a silent skip, but do check the list printed at startup — it shows how many minutes the advisor really understood.
19.5a Files shared with TimeR PRO — the TimeSetups folder
This source is for people who keep their minute lists in the MMD EA TimeR PRO robot and want O!kurra to read exactly the same files, with no retyping. Both robots read them the same way: the same folder, the same names, the same understanding of the content.
Where the files live
In the terminal’s shared folder: ...\MetaQuotes\Terminal\Common\Files\TimeSetups\. There is one for every MetaTrader installation on the computer, so the strategy tester sees it too. The advisor prints the full path in the expert log at every start ([TSet shared] folder: ...), even when all file switches are off - you never have to hunt for it. Sub folders are not read.
How the files are named
<set>_<DIRECTION>_<SESSION>.txt, for example TS_BUY_AS.txt, TS_SELL_EU.txt:
