Release workshop 2.00 — how it went
Release workshop for 2.00: what changed since 1.27, a step-by-step install, and two gold sets built live — one for the downside, one mirrored — plus why the same file behaves differently with different brokers.

Three hours and forty minutes of live work in a small group. This was a release workshop: the first part reviewed what changed between 1.27 and 2.00, the second built a pair of set files from scratch on a shared screen, with questions from participants along the way.
The rule set at the start: this was not meant to be a lecture. Participants were asked to repeat every step on their own machine — ideally on a second monitor — and to interrupt with a question at any point. The direction of the first set was chosen by the participants, not by the host.
What changed in 2.00
This release is not cosmetic. The key change is five logic tracks instead of seven — MetaTrader allows 1024 input parameters, and the new mechanisms would not have fitted alongside seven. Old set files that did not use the sixth and seventh button keep working unchanged; if they did use them, those tracks have to be moved, which is one action in the panel.
Also covered: the oscillator extreme modes (ending a run of signals from a single low, including the „deeper extreme" variant), the ALL or ANY choice for filters — whether every filter must agree or one is enough, position size scaling now available for every track rather than only for Break Even Auto, including multipliers below one, meaning deliberately smaller follow-up positions, position sizing against market dynamics via ATR, and the decision and execution log — a full trace of what the robot decided and what the broker did with it, in the strategy tester as well.
The release requires MetaTrader 5 build 6140 or newer. Magic number 0 is reserved for manually opened positions, and any position opened earlier by the sixth or seventh button has to be closed before migrating — the new version will not adopt it.
Installing it, step by step
Download the package from the panel, unpack it, copy the contents into the platform data folder, restart MetaTrader, load the EA onto a chart and paste the licence key. The robot starts switched off — by design: turning it on is a deliberate decision by the user, not a side effect of dropping a file onto a chart.
The set built live
A pair of gold files was built on the one-minute timeframe, on three tracks:
- the main track — holds the primary direction, with a narrowed oscillator signal band and a cloud filter
- the opposite track — armed by Break Even Auto in protective mode, with position scaling and a size ceiling
- the third track — returns to the main direction once the market comes back to it after a reversal; it shuts down together with Break Even Auto
The guiding idea, repeated several times: when the market moves with the direction, the tool should work; when it turns, the tool should step out of the position rather than add against the move. The whole three-track construction serves that second case.
The second file was built as a mirror of the first. It was shown explicitly that flipping the direction alone is not enough — the oscillator thresholds and the side Break Even Auto watches have to be reversed too.
Pitfalls that surfaced in practice
- Lot per Balance rounds up. With „0.01 per 100" set, an account above half the threshold starts opening a double position. If the second position should only appear once the account doubles, enter a value higher than half the threshold.
- Missing arrows on the chart are usually a missing system font, not an indicator fault.
- A button name containing non-ASCII characters is not saved.
- Virtual SL and TP cut both ways. The broker cannot see them, so it cannot trade against them — but on a sharp move the close can land further away than the setting suggests.
- Broker costs belong in the test. A test without commission describes a different world from the one the file will work in.
What we discussed beyond configuration
The same file run by different participants behaved differently — one of the more important observations of the day. The differences come from historical data and from the broker: the tick model, the spread, the way orders are filled. There was also a question about market sessions and whether it is worth restricting the tool to quieter hours. Conclusions from a single tester run do not carry over to a live account — that sentence came back several times during the meeting.
Materials for participants
Four .set files are waiting in the panel — two panel settings snapshots, one for each side of the market, and two ready set files for version 2.00 — along with the full recording with Polish and English subtitles, plus a version with English voice-over.
